For this wedding, I was hired to do a bit of a “mini” type package, for about 3 hours. Although I do normally only book full day weddings, I am happy to fit in the occasional shorter package on Friday, Sunday, and the rare date that I still have open within 3 months of the wedding date. 3 hours is usually enough time to get photos of the ceremony, the family photos, portraits of the bride and groom, and then a little bit of either the “getting ready” or the reception.

Also, you don’t have to twist my arm to get me to go anywhere on the northwest side of the lower peninsula, like Arcadia and Frankfort. These are some of the most beautiful areas in the state! I do a lot of lakeside weddings and Watervale Inn was definitely right up there as one of the prettiest and quietest places that I’ve done a wedding. I love the idea of doing a wedding where your guests can stay on the property and everyone can make a vacation of it, as these two did.
