I’m a Michigan wedding photographer specializing in real, relaxed celebrations like second weddings, blended families, backyard gatherings, lakeside cottages, and non-traditional wedding days.

My couples usually don’t want a production, they want to actually enjoy their wedding. That means I step in when you need direction, help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and step back when the real moments start happening.

So instead of spending your day posing, you get to be fully present with your people, your kids, your partner, and everything that makes your story yours.

Who I am and what I do

I’m a hybrid digital and film Michigan wedding photographer based in Muskegon, working across the lakeshore, Grand Rapids, and Northern Michigan.

I’ve been photographing weddings since 2012 and have documented around 300 weddings since those early days. Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from high-end wedding photographers. That experience shaped how I approach light, composition, and pacing throughout a wedding day. I bring that level of technical skill into every wedding while keeping the experience relaxed, natural, and unforced.

I specialize in real, emotionally grounded weddings, especially second marriages, blended families, and non-traditional celebrations where connection matters more than perfection.

My approach is calm and unobtrusive. I will guide you when you need direction, help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and step back when real moments unfold. The goal is to document your day honestly without turning it into a production or something you have to perform.

Most of my weddings take place at lakeside venues, family homes, cabins, and relaxed outdoor settings throughout Michigan. These are often meaningful gatherings with kids, blended families, history, and emotion, and I know how to photograph all of it in a way that feels real and timeless.
