I always love getting the opportunity to photograph weddings right here in the city where I live. Our city has a lot of nice areas by the water, and an up and a growing downtown. There’s a reason our motto here is #watchusgo ! It is only getting better!
We started out the day with everyone getting ready right at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. My second photographer and I were able to go back and forth easily between the guys and the ladies to get photos of everyone finishing up with getting ready, and all of the anticipation before the ceremony. Then, after a prayerful ceremony at the church, we headed off to Heritage Landing and downtown Muskegon to get some more fun photos of the bridal party.
There are a lot of venues here in Muskegon that are absolute gems, and the Frauenthal building is definitely one of them. The reception was held in their Hilt building in the ballroom, which has a brick/industrial feel, yet is adorned with beautiful chandeliers and has a west facing window perfect to watch the sunset during the reception. These two were wonderful to work with and I can’t wait to work with more awesome Muskegon couples and local venues!
